Not every build works in every run. The best Gambonanza players know how to read the shop and adapt. This guide covers the 5 major build archetypes in v1.1.0, when to build each one, and how to transition between them.

Build 1: Pawn Economy Loop S-Tier

Best for: Consistent runs, learning the game, King difficulty grinding

Core concept: Convert pawns into income generators via Economic gambits, then use that income to buy better pieces and more gambits.

Key components:

• Economic Gambit (mandatory)
• Pawns (base pieces)
• Gold tiles (income multiplier)
• Any income-scaling gambits

• Turns 1-5: Build pawn presence, secure gold tiles, take Economic Gambits
• Turns 6-10: Income snowballs. Buy better pieces
• Turns 10+: Convert income into board dominance

Core concept: Chain 3+ gambits in a single turn for explosive value. The ceiling is infinite, but the floor is very low.

Key components:

• 3+ compatible gambits (look for “when you play a gambit, do X” effects)
• Stock reserves (chaining is expensive)
• Teleport (enables gambit positioning)

How it plays:

• Turns 1-8: Build gambit inventory. Focus on gambit synergy over board position
• Turn 9+: Chain everything in one explosive turn
• Win or bust
