### THE VERDICT

Winning Gambonanza is 40% strategy and 60% economy. Players who manage their stock well beat players with better board skills every single time. This guide turns you from a spender into an investor. Combined with a strong seed selection, the Recommended Seeds Guide gives you the stock foundations before your first shop visit.

Investment Tables-Tier List

S-Tier: Guaranteed Returns

TableReturnRiskMin StockRating
Safe Haven+10% guaranteedNone10S
Stable Pawns+15% guaranteedNone25S
SBoring but unbeatable. 10% guaranteed returns compound through the entire run. This is your economic backbone-invest 40% of all stock here, every time.
Only 10h+ players know:
Only 10h+ players know: Safe Haven’s 10% return compounds across ALL shop visits, not just the next one. If you invest 100 stock in Safe Haven on visit 1 and never touch it, by visit 10 it’s worth 259 stock. That’s 159 free stock for doing absolutely nothing.

A-Tier: High Expected Value

TableReturnRiskMin StockRating
Knight’s Jump2x (60%) / -50% (40%)Medium30A
Bishop’s Diagonal1.5x, varies by board stateLow20A
AKnight's Jump positive EV: 2x0.6 + 0.5x0.4 = 1.4x expected return. Better than Safe Haven but with variance. Put 30% of stock here.
Only 10h+ players know:
Only 10h+ players know: Bishop’s Diagonal return rate is tied to actual board position. If you control the center AND both bishops are alive, the return jumps to 2.5x. This is the only investment table you can actively influence during the match.

B-Tier: Gambling

TableReturnRiskMin StockRating
Gambler’s Gambit5x (20%) / 0 (80%)Extreme20B
B5x0.2 + 0x0.8 = 1.0x expected return-exactly break-even. Only worth it for the high-roll dopamine. NEVER put more than 20% here.

The 3-Phase Economy Strategy

Phase 1: Survival EARLY GAME

Stock split: 80% Safe Haven / 20% Knight’s Jump

Goal: Never go below 30 stock. Buy common Gambits only (10-40 stock). Learn which Gambits are worth their price before spending big.

Mistake: Buying an Epic Gambit (100+ stock) before you know what it does-broke for the next 3 runs.

Phase 2: Build MID GAME

Stock split: 50% Safe Haven / 30% Knight’s Jump / 20% Bishop’s Diagonal

Goal: 50-100 stock buffer. Buy 2-3 Gambits per shop. Start investing in Bishop’s Diagonal for the board-influenced returns.

Mistake: Over-investing in one table type. Diversification is literally free in this game.

LATE GAME Phase 3: Dominate. Stock split: 30% Safe Haven / 40% Knight's Jump / 20% Bishop's Diagonal / 10% Gambler's Gambit. Target: 100+ stock buffer. Prioritize Legendary Gambits. Save 200+ stock before King of Spades.

Only 10h+ players know: Gambit Auction AI has a predictable bidding pattern-it bids 10-15% more than the Gambit’s shop price, then stops. If a Legendary Gambit has a shop price of 400, the AI bids up to ~460. Bid 420 IF you want it, or let the AI overpay and save your stock for the next shop when it’s cheaper.
