Archetype 1: Economy Engine (Consistent)
Core strategy: Invest in economy early, snowball into a large gold reserve by mid-game, and out-spend every boss.
Best pieces: Pawns > Bishops > Knights Must-have Gambits: Squirrel’s Gambit, Bug Catcher’s Gambit, Berserker’s Gambit First 3 turns: Buy a cheap Common Gambit that pays on captures. Save money. Skip expensive Gambits.

Why it works on early boards: On the starting 5x5 board, the enemy doesn’t have room to dodge. A fast rush can win before the boss’s scaling mechanics kick in.
Why it fails on grown boards: Once boss stages add rows (6x5, 7x5, 8x5 and beyond), the enemy has too much space. Your rush fizzles, and you’re left with no economy and no fallback.
Who it’s for: Experienced players who know exactly what they’re doing. Not recommended for beginners despite the appeal.
